The Anniversary Sale is one of the few sales where I actually plan my shopping ahead of time.
Instead of buying random trendy pieces, I focus on timeless wardrobe staples that I’ll wear throughout fall and winter. It’s also one of my favorite opportunities to invest in higher-quality brands at prices we rarely see during the rest of the year.
My strategy is simple:
- Start adding favorite items to wishlists. Once the sale goes live, my advice is to check out right away to secure your items. Things get crazy, and items get sold out pretty quickly.
- Prioritize classics over trends.
- Invest in versatile wardrobe essentials.
- Skip impulse purchases.

● My New Balance 327 Sneakers have a huge discount, and this pair deserves to be added to your wishlist immediately. I have never seen a discount like this ever.
● I just added these On Cloud Sneakers to my wishlist, loving the orchid color, I think they will be a great addition to my workout wardrobe.
● Anything from Elemis should be added to the wishlist. I just added to my wishlist the Elemis Resurfacing Facial Wash Jumbo size. It is so good, and I don’t use any other facial wash; this is the one.
● Barbour coats have great discounts as part of the NSALE this year. I really love this Water-Resistant Jacket with the funnel neck in light khaki; it is also available in black.
● I am always looking forward to the Coach bags on sale, and this year Coach has the saddle 28 leather bag with a big discount. I love the white and the muted olive colors.
● This YSL 3-piece eye set. It is just perfect for gifting! who doesn’t like a gift like this.
● There are three pairs of jeans that I highly recommend: the Levi’s Ribcage jeans with the wide leg fit, which I have, and they are so comfortable; Madewell perfect vintage jeans in a dark wash color; and the AG straight jeans.

If you want to buy the Early Access, yes, you need a Nordstrom credit card. Otherwise, you can shop the sale when it is open to everyone on July 18.
Should I shop online or store?
I highly recommend you shop online. Things can get chaotic at the store. That is why I highly recommend starting to add your favorites to your wishlist early, so that when your tier opens to Early Access, you can check out quickly and secure the items and sizes you need.
