WINE COUNTRY GETAWAY CELEBRATING OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AT TEMECULA VALLEY, CA

Ponte Winery, Temecula Valley, California

Erick and I spent the weekend celebrating our Wedding Anniversary at Temecula Valley, California, one of the most beautiful places in South California for sure. Temecula is located at 58.5 miles north from San Diego via I-5 N , approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

We stayed at Carter State Winery and Resort , one of the best hotels in Temecula where you can enjoy the perfect wine country resort getaway. Carter State Winery Resorts has the most beautiful bungalows with private patio. Your stay will include a bottle of pre-selected Carter State wine and a complimentary continental breakfast for two.

We arrived on a Friday, around 6pm, we checked in at the hotel and realized we did not have any dinner reservations. We were starving. Erick and I were lucky enough to find a spot at Ponte Winery and eat delicious dinner with a great wine country vibe where you can enjoy subtle live music and amazing food. Erick ordered the Charcuterie and Salmon cakes as starters, as you can see there was a lot of food, but that did not inhibited us and we went ahead and ordered the Ciopinno for Erick and the salad with salmon for me. I am happy to report that the salmon was cooked to perfection.

The waiter asked us if we were celebrating anything and we told her that was our wedding anniversary. When we were paying the check she surprised us with a delicious slice of chocolate cake. What a great way to end the night.

The next way we woke up around 7am with the sound of powerful burners of the air balloons, it was the perfect view eating at the private patio our complimentary continental breakfast. The breakfast consisted on croissants, fresh yogurt and fruit, tea and coffee. The weather was perfect with approximately 75’F degrees at 9am. We decided to walk around the vineyards and enjoy the magical view of the and the hot air balloons.

As part of the day activities, we visited several wineries where we enjoyed beautiful sceneries, delicious food entries, live music and met the nicest people. According to Erick’s words he tasted the most delicious wine and I tried for the first time fresh sangria ( yep, I do not drink wine, lol )

This is the third year that we celebrate our Wedding Anniversary at the beautiful winery country of Temecula Valley. It has became a tradition to at least getaway for a weekend and enjoy ourselves and celebrate our beautiful marriage.
