The first time I heard about Freda Salvador’s fisherman sandals was on TikTok. Yes, I was influenced by social media — and honestly, I am glad I was.
I visited the Freda Salvador store in SoHo, Manhattan, where I tried several of their fisherman sandal styles in person. The sales associates were incredibly welcoming, patient, and helpful throughout the entire experience, answering all my questions about sizing, materials, comfort, and styling.
After trying multiple pairs, I ended up purchasing the Stucco Suede Fisherman Sandals, and they immediately stood out to me for how chic and comfortable they felt.
In this blog post, I am sharing my personal experience with the quality, sizing, comfort, and pricing of Freda Salvador fisherman sandals after trying them on in-store and walking around New York City with them.
Freda Salvador Sera Fisherman Sandals
Sizing
I tried on six different pairs of Freda Salvador Sera Fisherman Sandals made from various materials, including suede with studs, calf leather, PVC, satin, raffia, and denim mesh. I found that the sizing is quite consistent across all these materials. I typically wear between a US size 7 and 7.5. However, after trying several pairs, I noticed that they tend to run large, particularly the suede with studs style, which fits longer. As a result, I decided to purchase a size 7, since the 7.5 felt too big for my narrow feet.
Comfort
One thing all Freda Salvador Fisherman Sandals share is a padded leather footbed. It is just so comfortable. And based on my experience, there is no need to break these fisherman sandals in; there is a reason that they say these sandals are better than sneakers.
Quality
The quality of the Freda Salvador Fisherman Sandals is something we need to address. All Freda Salvador products use the highest quality materials from Spain and Italy to make their shoes, bags, and belts. All their products are handcrafted at heritage luxury factories in Spain, Italy, and El Salvador.
Below are close-up photos of the sandal’s craftsmanship, in particular the padded footbed. It is thick, soft, and has extra cushion. Your feet will be very happy. Comfort goes hand in hand with shoe quality, and I can see that Freda Salvador definitely took that into consideration when designing this high-quality sandal.
Pros:
The Freda Salvador Fisherman Sandal are gorgeous with top-notch quality, they are beyond comfortable and look very elevated with any type of outfit.
Cons:
They are on the high price point. However, it is completely fair to pay for a handcrafted, high-quality, luxury sandal. The price is worth it.
Price:
The Fisherman Sandals can range from $300 to $500. The website runs sales on certain models, and they are final sales, with prices ranging from $200 to $270.
Sera Fisherman Sandals Stucco Suede
As I mentioned before, the Freda Salvador Sera Fisherman Sandal comes in various materials, including suede with studs, calf leather, PVC, satin, raffia, and denim mesh. I bought the Sera classic stucco suede with silver studs. I was already convinced to buy a pair, but I made the executive decision to buy the stucco suede with silver studs when I saw another customer trying on this model specifically. I just fell in love with how it looked on her. She was wearing white linen shorts and a black linen long-sleeved button-down shirt, with the Sera sandals completing her outfit. Stunning. So, there you have it, that is how I chose this model, and no regrets, the sandals have a very neutral color that goes with everything.

This is a very practical outfit and so comfortable as well. This is a very chic and casual outfit for running errands or walking the streets of New York. This denim capri is so good, it is under $40 and there are more denim washes available, you can find them here. The peplum black top is so adorable as well, I am wearing size XS.
