I began collecting Hermès Oran sandals almost by accident. My first two pairs were bought at Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris while I was on my way back to the United States. With about two hours before my flight departure, I decided to browse the shops and stopped by the Hermès store to take advantage of the European prices. I purchased my first two pairs in black and gold.
Since then, I have continued to expand my collection of Oran sandals through the Hermès store, preloved websites, and whenever I have the chance to travel to Europe. I absolutely love how these sandals complete an outfit and how easy they are to pack, as they don’t take up much space in my suitcase. They truly are the perfect sandals for traveling.

Hermes Oran Sandals Sizing Review
When it comes to shoes, I’m usually a US 7 or 7.5, which is like a EU 38. My feet are pretty narrow—like a hotdog bun, haha! So, with the Oran Sandals in size 38, the wider part ends up feeling super loose, and I feel like I’m losing my sandals with every step. That’s why I go with a size 37 for all my Hermes Oran sandals. The EU 37 fits just right in the widest part and is perfect for the length of my foot. Hermes recommends sticking to your size or sizing up if you are between sizes. I recommend starting with your regular size and then deciding whether to go up or down. Hermes Oran sandals are pretty much true to size and very consistent in sizing.

Are Hermes Oran Sandals Comfortable?
Honestly, the Hermes Oran Sandals can feel pretty stiff at first since they’re made of genuine high quality leather. But after wearing them a couple of times for 2-3 hour sessions, the leather starts to soften up. You’ll eventually realize that they become some of the most comfortable shoes you own!

Hermes Oran Sandals Price
As of May 2026, the retail price of the Hermes Oran Sandals is US$900 + tax in the United States. In Europe, the Hermes Oran Sandals retail price is € 595, which is equivalent to $702 USD.
You can also buy them preloved from trusted websites such as Fashionphile and TheRealReal.
Are Hermes Oran Sandals Worth It?
The Oran Hermes sandals are crafted in Italy to the highest standards. Most of them are made from box leather and calfskin. They are available in other materials, such as suede, denim, canvas, and exotic materials like alligator and lizard. However, the most common are made of leather, and when you buy these sandals, you’re definitely getting premium quality. So, yes, the Hermes Oran sandals are totally worth the splurge. Once you get your first pair and start rocking them, you’ll find yourself wearing them all the time and probably wanting to pick up more colors.

Hermes Oran Sandals Best Colors To Start Your Collection
Did you know there are 49 colors of Hermes Oran sandals available on the Hermes website? And every year they add new colors to the collection. However, if you’re just beginning your collection, I highly recommend starting with some classic neutral shades like black, white, and gold. These timeless colors are perfect for the Hermes Orans, and you’ll find yourself wearing them with the majority of your spring and summer outfits.

How to Store & Take Care of Your Hermes Oran Sandals
Hermes Oran sandals are made of high-quality materials; therefore, Hermes recommends following its care instructions to prolong the life of your leather items. Regarding how to store your Hermes Oran sandals, I keep mine in their original box and still use the original tissue paper “ball” they came in to maintain their shape. If you threw the tissue paper away, I highly recommend making new tissue paper balls to support the shape of your sandals when they are not in use.

How To Store Hermes Oran Sandals In Suitcases When Traveling
Obviously, the first two photos below are purely for aesthetic purposes, as they don’t represent the proper way to store your Hermes Oran sandals in a suitcase. While they may look appealing, this method can cause damage and unwanted scratches to your sandals.

If you want to preserve the life of your Hermes Oran sandals when traveling, I highly recommend using the dust bags they came in. If you bought them second-hand and don’t have the original dust bag, place your sandals face-to-face with the soles outwards and wrap them in an old t-shirt (pro tip: you can wrap each sandal in its own old t-shirt), use a shoe bag organizer, or use another protective method to prevent the leather from getting scratched by other items in your suitcase.

Even though these alternatives to the Hermes Oran sandals are pretty great, they can’t really compete with the quality of Hermes. Here are some of the best alternatives for the Hermes Oran sandals!
